Director's Message

I am proud and utterly delighted to extend my heartiest welcome to you. As one of the pioneers in technology and innovation and a leader in academia and scientific learning, the National Institute of Technology Calicut is inching towards becoming a global brand. The institute is forging new collaborations and strengthening the old ones.

We are hopeful that the beneficiaries of this programme will not only achieve academic enrichment but also value and cherish the rich and wholesome cultural milieu of NIT Calicut, and also the state of Kerala, which is also called “the God’s Own Country” for all the right reasons. Likewise this will also bring to our rich campus a global vibrance through an amalgamation of the diverse cultures and traditions of our international students community. We are certain that the campus will receive many more cultural ambassadors, such as yourself.

Our thriving alumni network, spanning several countries, is a testament to NITC's commitment to internationalisation. We remain dedicated to fostering academic, cultural, and collaborative partnerships with the international community.

Dean's Message

It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Office of International, Alumni and Corporate Relations (IACR) at the National Institute of Technology Calicut.

NIT Calicut has, over the decades, grown into an institution of national and global repute, driven by academic excellence, a spirit of innovation, and a deep commitment to nation- building. As we continue to strengthen our position among India's leading technical institutions, we recognise that our journey forward is closely tied to the strength of our connections with international partners who bring new perspectives and collaborations, with our alumni who carry the Institute's legacy across the world, and with industry partners who help translate our research into real-world impact.

The Office of IACR was envisioned to bring these three vital dimensions together under a single, focused effort:

International Relations: We are committed to deepening academic and research collaborations with universities and institutions abroad, expanding opportunities for our students and faculty through exchange programmes, joint research, and international academic partnerships, while also welcoming international students and scholars into our vibrant campus community.

Alumni Relations: Our alumni are among our greatest assets. Spread across industries, academia, and enterprises worldwide, they remain an enduring source of inspiration, mentorship, and support for the Institute. We are working to build stronger, more meaningful engagement with our alumni network through structured programmes, reunions, mentorship initiatives, and avenues for them to give back to their alma mater.

Corporate Relations: Bridging academia and industry is central to ensuring our research and education remain relevant and impactful. We continue to build and strengthen partnerships with industry leaders, fostering collaborative research, sponsored projects, internships, and placement opportunities that benefit our students and industry partners alike.

I firmly believe that the true strength of an institution lies not just in what happens within its classrooms and laboratories, but in the ecosystem of relationships it builds and sustains across borders, across generations of alumni, and across industry sectors. It is this ecosystem that we, at the Office of IACR, are committed to nurturing.
